PRESS RELEASE – For Immediate Release
April 16, 2015
By: John E. Fiorentino
Government ministers from Australia, China and Malaysia have said they will extend the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 by an additional 23,000 sq miles if the wreckage is not found in the current search area.
The extended search for the jetliner – missing since March of 2014 – could take up to a year.
Our own Independent Inquiry, which has been running concurrently to the official investigation will continue.
Progress has been made recently as outlined in our Press Release of April 9 which dealt with our audio analysis of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) recordings as performed by audio expert Steve Barber. Mr. Barber's analysis has determined that the final voice transmission from the doomed aircraft - “Goodnight Malaysian 370” - was made by the plane's co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid and not the pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah.
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank those who joined in my proposal to continue the MH370 inquiry, including deep sea search efforts.
